The Water Demon is one of Nevar's more agile and patient servants and is the antagonistic force of the challenge named after him in Pooh's Adventures of Raven. Raven comments that the Water Demon may appear asleep at first, but if one had a keen eye like him or a sharper wit, they would see that the Demon itself upon the loch always keeps an eye on baits of Treasure Rings he sets on a buoy or his Crannog to trap and capture unwary travellers or unaware warriors. However, this particular Demon like some others can also be hired for particular tasks by evildeors, like that of a bounty hunter if Nevar grants permission. In some adventures based around the Rescuers film, the villainess Madame Medusa appears to have made previous offscreen contact with Nevar as the Water Demon is seen lurking around the Devil's Bayou, presumably to pursue intruders and to act as a failsafe if Brutus and Nero don't do their job right.
